Olive Coffee Company was founded by Colby and Hannah Barker in May of 2021, based off of a love for coffee and people. 

We strive for quality, consistency, and community in everything that we do.

“Olive” began as a fun play on words between Hannah and Colby. Paired with Hannah’s love for the color, olive green, it became our “thing”.

As a biblical symbol of peace, fruitfulness, and long life, it became evident that “Olive” Coffee Company would be the name that would most accurately fit what our hearts envision for the company.

As a part of our vision to impact communities outside of our own.

As part owners of BlackBird Coffee Roasters, our passion goes beyond serving great coffee—we’re dedicated to helping other communities build thriving coffee businesses. Through BlackBird, we provide everything from equipment procurement and roasted coffee to tech services, consulting, and training. Our goal is to equip others with the tools and knowledge they need to create meaningful, sustainable coffee ventures in their own communities.

By sharing our experience and resources, we’re not just roasting coffee—we’re fostering connection, growth, and opportunity far beyond our own shop.
